kayaks for sale:

ndk romany lv - $1500

You are looking at a Romany LV Sea Kayak- Serial # DKJRY029B02.

This kayak is in excellent condition for its age. In April of 2025, -average market value for this kayak is at asking- $1,500.

There are some things to know about this boat. THIS IS A SMALL, TIGHT, KAYAK.

The NDK Romany LV cockpit dimensions are:

Length: 30 inches (76.2 cm), width: 16 inches (40.6 cm). This keyhole-shaped cockpit is designed for smaller paddlers and is 3.5 inches shorter and 1 inch narrower than the Romany Classic. The Romany LV kayak has a cockpit depth of 30 cm (11.8 inches).

The cockpit is also designed to be small and low, with a keyhole rim to accommodate smaller paddlers.

This boat is not for everyone because the keyhole cockpit has a large rolled-over combing, which takes up space on the outside and upper thighs. The cockpit volume is 103 liters.

Respectfully, due to the past two sales falling through I will no longer be transporting the kayak for review. The kayak is available for test viewing and cockpit sizing BEFORE moving to a test paddle.

Serious buyers can arrange to see the kayak on an as-wanted basis; and, test paddles are available after review in either the Shark River, Neptune, NJ or Deal Lake, Asbury Park, NJ. The kayak is located in Neptune, NJ- USA, near the Shark River.

wilderness systems tempest 165 - $600

You are looking at a Wilderness Systems Tempest 165.

This boat was my instruction kayak and has been well kept and maintained for several seasons. The kayak comes in at about 62 lbs., and is well-balanced.

This kayak tracks straight and has moderate wind cocking, which is addressed through proper paddling technique.

The soft chine makes for a predictable primary, but quick secondary stabilization.

  • There is no oil-canning, but there is the usual wear associated with Level 1 and 2 Instruction.

  • The skeg is stiff and responsive- working best at ½ depth.

  • The Skeg controller works well too; but, often need a quick spray of lubricant – white grease works great. This is nothing to worry about. Just be aware this is a maintenance issue.

  • I removed the thigh braces to allow more room for my legs and dry suit (They are available for replacement at Top Kayaker.com)

  • The bulkheads have been re-sealed with Lexel and then top-coated with Flex Seal and there are no known issues with dampening, creep, or water exposure.

  • The deck rigging was replaced in 2024.

  • The hatch covers are snug - mainly because I condition them often
