Mission:

We believe that power of using recreational kayaking experiences, trainings, and on-water safety instruction will help to support, prepare, and distribute a hot meal this week in Southern Coastal Monmouth County, New Jersey.


Values and Inclusion:

We understand that food insecurity may affect some of us at some point in a lifetime.  We are committed to promoting weekly meals regardless of economic, cultural status, or chosen identities.  We are committed to promoting the value of secure food by leveraging kayaking instruction to offset food insecurities in Southern Coastal Monmouth County,
New Jersey.

Goals:


We will use kayak instruction as a tool to provide weekly offsets of durable goods and deliver volunteer services to the food insecure of Southern Coastal Monmouth County, New Jersey.


A Paddle; For Hunger is:

  • Community-minded, kayak safety training and paddle experience that:

    • Offers American Canoe Association (ACA) EKT-Coastal and flat-water Level 1 and 2 instruction in-class, online, and on-water.

    • Teaches ACA classes that are vetted by the American Canoe Association and are led by an ACA L - 1 & 2 certified instructor(s) who are both CPR and First-Aid Certified.

    • Hosts in-classroom trainings at the Wall Township and Manasquan NJ, Recreation Centers

    • Provides on-water training at:

      • Deal Lake, Asbury Park and Interlaken, NJ 07712

      • Shark River, Neptune City, NJ.=

      • Stockton Lake & Manasquan Glimmer Glass, Manasquan NJ 08736

      • Forge Pond, Brick Township NJ, 08723
